As a business man and a Christian, I have been tested many times throughout my life. In the beginning, every time a problem would arise, I would question what I had done in my past that had taken me out of God's good graces and I would question why I was being punished. I finally came to realize that I was not being punished but instead God was taking this opportunity to teach me and to make me grow as an individual. I also realized that God was not banishing me but was actually using this time to draw me closer to him. Have you ever heard the saying, "God gives you more than you can handle so that you'll turn to him?" I believe this to be a true statement. I also believe that God wants us all to succeed. He has blessed each of us with talents and he expects us to go out into the world and multiply them. He also wants us to share those talents with others. That is one of the reasons for me starting this blog. I believe that we can all learn from each other and by doing so, we can improve our lives in process.
With that in mind, let me share an acronym that I came across one evening as I was searching the internet for more information on how to improve my own life. The word is Growth.
G - Go to God in Prayer Daily (John 15:7)
R - Read God's Word Daily (Acts 17:11)
O- Obey God Moment by Moment (John 14:21)
W - Witness for Christ by Your Life and Words (Matthew 4:19, John 15:8)
T - Trust God For Every Detail of Your Life (Peter 5:7)
H - Holy Spirit ~ Allow Him to Control and Empower Your Daily Life and Witness (Galatians 5:16, Acts 1:8)
I do not remember where I came acrossed this acronym but it has helped me live a better life. Hopefully it will do the same for you.
